Zillow, not your average family photoshoot.

Ugh, you guys… these are the family sessions I live for. The unposed, completely customised, lifestyle sessions.
It’s been nearly a year since this session and I cannot believe I haven’t shared any of the images!!! I just had so many that I loved and wanted to share that I got overwhelmed trying to choose where to start.
Jess and Lachy booked me when I was a newbie back in mid 2019 for their first maternity session and I have been following along their journey since, including the purchase and renovation of this sweet 1968 Millard caravan, Zillow.

When Jess approached me about this session I just about squealed, I LOVED the idea. We scouted the perfect spot in the beautiful Pine Forest on the Sunshine Coast and spent a couple hours setting up, chatting, playing board games, drinking beer and even had a beautiful little sun shower to cool down the HOT, Spring day.

Anyway, I asked Jess to share a bit about Zillow… the build, the inspiration, the adventures and travels plans they’ve got.
Have a read through, and feast your eyes on some of my favourite images from the session.

“Zillow. Our little 2020 lockdown project.
I lost my job in tourism and we knew our little family wouldn’t be off on another overseas trip in a long time which was such a big part of our lives. So why not renovate a vintage caravan, keep busy and look forward to travelling this great country of ours instead.
It kept us busy as well as kept us sane for the next 6 months and gave us something to hold onto in such uncertain times. We did the entire build by ourselves, no outside trades and as sustainably as possible as well. We mostly used only repurposed materials that my carpenter hubby had started to collect, even down to paint.
We have taken her already up North QLD Coast, Curtis Island and our favourite camp spot at Double Island Point. When the borders are all open again our next trip in sight is South Australia. Until then, we plan to stay in her while we build our new sustainable tiny home which will be our next lockdown project of 2021.
When we finished the build we were so proud we had to document it. Han had already been a part of our maternity and new baby memories so we thought of her straight away. We were so overwhelmed by our shots of our family and Zillow by Maeleo Photography and still to this day in absolute awe when we reflect back on that time and those pictures. She captured our elation perfectly.”
